Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups black-eyed or cowpea beans, soaked
  • 2 cups long-grain rice
  • Handful dried sorghum (waakye) leaves or 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • Water to cover
  • To serve: shito, fried plantain, gari, boiled egg, stew
