Low-and-Slow BBQ Ribs

Pork ribs rubbed with brown sugar and paprika, smoked low until they bend and pull from the bone.

Ingredients

  • β€’ 2 racks pork baby back ribs
  • β€’ 1/4 cup brown sugar, 2 tbsp paprika, 1 tbsp smoked paprika
  • β€’ 1 tbsp salt, 1 tbsp pepper, 2 tsp garlic powder, 1 tsp cayenne
  • β€’ 1 cup BBQ sauce, apple juice for spritzing

Method

    Remove membrane from underside of ribs. Coat with rub, rest 1 hour.

    Smoke at 110Β°C bone-side down for 3 hours, spritzing with apple juice every 45 minutes.

    Wrap in foil with a splash of juice, cook 1.5 hours until tender.

    Unwrap, glaze with BBQ sauce, return to smoker 30 minutes to set.

    Rest 10 minutes, slice between bones.
